EMERGENCY TRANSPORT PROTOCOL

• On-site medical services are provided  to campers, staff and volunteers by a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner. A Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner will accompany campers, staff and volunteers on all field trips and are available on-site 24/7.

• The Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner or Physician will dispense all prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.

• Provided the Authorization for Medical Treatment has been signed by the parent / guardian, camper, staff member or volunteer, first aid for minor injuries or illnesses will be rendered by the nursing staff in accordance with established guidelines.

• If more involved medical issues or questions arise, you will be contacted regarding emergent care.

Transportation to Jefferson Healthcare will be provided by East Jefferson Fire Rescue or camp staff or volunteers as deemed appropriate by the Nursing Staff.
